Prague is moving to become an absolute epicenter of startup epidemics! It was mind-soothing to hear Michal Pechoucek and Jakub Nešetřil to talk about their vision for what the role universities and technically-focused faculties should be going forward - seeding the society with spin-offs, transferring research into viable commercial businesses founded and run by the researchers themselves. A vision they are making a reality quite swiftly. The slides by Barbora Werdmölder from Czech Founders made me proud (as an ex-Mewser) and sad (as a Czech) at the same time. So much potential for entrepreneurship in Czechia to improve the stats! Similarily to great pitches students did at this years From Code to Company at School of Computer Science (MFF UK), the follow-up team pitches at Czech Technical University in Prague - TRUE venture builder | ČVUT sparked hope in bright startup future in Prague. So many interesting ideas and technologies! Cannot wait to see this take off! 🚀
