Architect

How do you preserve the soul of a project when it's being built thousands of miles away? The completion of the Copper Villa (https://lnkd.in/epvFfG34) in Dubai is more than the delivery of another residence. For me, it represents what international design leadership is really about. Working in a new country means embracing different regulations, construction practices, cultures and ways of making decisions. The challenge isn't simply coordinating consultants or reviewing drawings across time zones. It's ensuring that, despite all these variables, the architectural vision remains intact. Every technical decision has the potential to strengthen—or dilute—the original concept. That's why leading an international project is not just about managing information; it's about protecting design intent from the very first sketch to the final detail on site. The Copper Villa is part of a growing portfolio of Jacobsen Studio projects in Dubai, and it reflects our commitment to creating architecture that responds to its local context while remaining true to our design philosophy. See this new article : https://lnkd.in/e_xfCDcU I'm incredibly proud of everyone who contributed to this journey. Projects like this remind us that architecture doesn't stop at the drawing board—it continues through every conversation, every coordination meeting and every decision made along the way. Congratulations to our entire team, consultants and partners on another remarkable achievement.
