A Small Number, a Big Chapter. Today is February 9th. What does the number “9” mean to you? For me, it means the month of September. Last year, on September 15th, it was my first day of my first internship. I would be lying if I said I wasn’t nervous — it was nerve-wracking. I walked onto my office floor with a blank but open mind. Questions flooded me: What if I dislike what I’m doing? What if I’m incapable of completing any task? What if I mess up? Let’s come back to today. It has been a week since my internship ended. My answer now would be that there are always more options to explore, I am capable, and mistakes are simply part of the learning process. This internship has been nothing but transformative. Each challenge I faced became a learning opportunity, and I’m deeply grateful to my supervisor Rachel Ho, mentors Eileen Chia & Karen Chiang, as well as colleagues who guided me with patience throughout this journey. Their support and trust allowed me to grow and gradually build confidence in myself. Beyond skills and knowledge, I gained meaningful connections that made this experience truly one-of-a-kind 🥰. What started as self-doubt in September ended with gratitude and growth. Huge shout-outs to my fellow interns who have braved this journey with me!
