🌾Thailand's food industry is entering an exciting new chapter.🌽 With Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul leading the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) to attract high-quality foreign direct investment, agriculture, food innovation and sustainable manufacturing are becoming central to Thailand's growth strategy. The EEC Sectoral Deep Dive Forum: Food Industry was therefore both timely and highly relevant. It was a pleasure to join government, investors and industry leaders together with JFCCT Members, Hans van den Born, Executive Director of the Netherlands-Thai Chamber of Commerce (NTCC), Marco Rudin, Executive Director of the Swiss-Thai Chamber of Commerce (STCC) , and Vibeke Lyssand Leirvag, JFCCT, to learn more about the future of Thailand's food ecosystem. The discussions highlighted the strong and enduring contribution of JFCCT member companies to Thailand's economic development. The Netherlands, one of Thailand's largest European investors, continues to bring world-leading expertise in agri-tech, precision farming, food innovation, water management and sustainable agriculture. Dutch companies are helping strengthen Thailand's competitiveness through technology, innovation and sustainable investment. Likewise, Swiss investor Nestlé Thailand exemplifies long-term commitment beyond manufacturing. Alongside significant investments in local production, Nestlé has partnered with Thai farmers for decades, providing training, technical expertise and support for sustainable farming practices that improve productivity, strengthen rural communities and build resilient supply chains. These are powerful examples of how JFCCT member companies invest not only capital, but also innovation, technology, knowledge transfer and people—supporting Thailand's ambition to become a global leader in sustainable food production. Congratulations to the Eastern Economic Corridor Office (EECO) for bringing together the public and private sectors to advance this important agenda. We look forward to continuing the collaboration in strengthening Thailand's position as a leading destination for sustainable investment and innovation in the food industry. #JFCCT #EECO #EEC #Thailand #FDI #FoodIndustry #Agriculture #Innovation #Sustainability #NTCC #STCC #SwissBusiness #DutchBusiness #InvestInThailand
