Today’s World Cup final ⚽ between Spain 🇪🇦 and Argentina 🇦🇷 is much more than a sporting contest between dear brothers. Both teams have shown extraordinary quality, resilience and character throughout the tournament. May the best team win. Yet whatever the result, something larger has already prevailed: the Hispanic world. Spain, Argentina and Latin América in general share a language, a history and a cultural space that continues to shape global affairs. This final, played on American soil, is a powerful reminder that the Atlantic is not only a geographical space, but also a community built through centuries of exchange, influence and shared identity. It is particularly symbolic that this moment comes as the United States 🇺🇸 celebrates its 250th anniversary. Spain played a decisive—though too often overlooked—role in the American struggle for independence, providing military, financial and logistical support that helped make the birth of the United States possible. Two and a half centuries later, a World Cup final between Spain and Argentina offers a fitting tribute: a celebration of the Hispanic contribution to the history of the United States and of the growing strategic importance of the Spanish-speaking world. The trophy will belong to one nation. But today, Hispanidad has already won. 🇪🇸 🇦🇷 🇺🇸 Notwithstanding.... vamos España!!!
