New Graduate BSN

Recently, I had the opportunity to teach English abroad in Taiwan and words can’t describe how fulfilling it has been to work with such extraordinary children!  This past summer, I had the honor of joining the Taiwanese Overseas Community Affairs Council to teach in the country that my parents grew up in. I worked as an English teacher to primary school students in the scenic rural province of Hualien for one month. Working alongside my coworkers, I realized the unrecognized hard work that teachers put into providing education, and what it means to be an educator.  I learned that providing education takes a lot of effort, not only in executing lessons in an engaging manner, but also arranging future classes outside of school hours. I was also tested in my abilities to adapt to new situations and communicate with the teachers and principal despite differences in dialect. From lesson planning between bites of dinner to exploring potential field trip sites on weekends, I can confidently say that this has been an unforgettable summer. Working as an educator has been an eye-opening experience and I'm grateful for the opportunity to have made a difference in these young students' lives. #teachingabroad #education #Taiwan https://lnkd.in/gzrurrDV
