πŸš€ Kicking Off the Introductory Vaccinology Course: Basics for Vaccine Bioprocessing (IVC) for Malaysia πŸ‡²πŸ‡Ύ πŸ“ National Pharmaceutical Regulatory Agency, Malaysia It took almost a year since the project proposal submission to eventually today kicking off and seeing it turns into reality. This course is the result of meticulous planning, unwavering commitment, and patience to navigate various challenges, specially curated by myself, Khim Boon Tee Kheng Oon, and Celene Xiao Ying LEE β€” drawing from our training and experience β€” it was made possible with tremendous support from our Korean K-NIBRT counterparts, and strong collaboration with local agencies including MOSTI, NPRA, and NIBM, who provided vital support in funding, organization, and venue facilitation. Highlights from Day 1 of IVC: πŸ’Ž Opening remarks by Pn Rosliza, Acting Director & Deputy Director of NPRA, who emphasized the importance of capacity building and knowledge-sharing to support national vaccine initiatives. πŸ’Ž National Vaccine Development Roadmap – Vision, Initiatives & Opportunities by Dr Azlan, Director of Malaysia Vaccine Project Office (MVPO), MOSTI πŸ’Ž Regulatory Support for Pharmaceutical Products in Malaysia by Dr Zaril, Section Head, NPRA. πŸ’Ž Development of a Hand, Foot & Mouth Disease Vaccine: From Lab to Clinical Trials by Dr Chia-Chyi Liu, National Institute of Infectious Diseases, Taiwan. πŸ’Ž Scientific session on How Vaccines Work, Types of Vaccines & General Bioprocessing β€” presented by me. The active participation from the local stakeholders including the regulators, academicians, researchers, policy makers and local manufacturers particularly during the interactive case study discussion and presentation was impressive! It’s fulfilling to see the content resonating and benefiting the participants based on some early feedbacks 🫢 Stay tuned for more insights and excitement in Day 2 tomorrow! πŸ’‰ #IntroductoryVaccinologyCourse #Vaccinology #Bioprocessing #CapacityBuilding #Malaysia #VaccineDevelopment
