Reflecting on a great weekend, I want to express my gratitude to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers leadership. They invited ALLTRU back for their second annual SHE IS FOOTBALL event - a two-day celebration around International Women's Day focused on developing female leaders through the power of sport. Data reveals a correlation between sports and leadership in young girls. 94% of women in executive positions have played youth sports. If you ask a handful of SOF women, or women in leadership positions across the military, you'd likely generate the same stats. My gratitude for this opportunity is super-charged. I love being able to spend quality time with my teammates (those that volunteered to work our "Warrior Corner" and run our military style bootcamp workout). I love sharing the bravery of our fallen, especially with people that have no idea the ways in which women serve. And I love encouraging a sense of agency and ambition in our young men and women...our most secure and prosperous future depends on it. For all the wellness offerings out there, this is my elixir of choice: good community, turning loss into legacy, and investing in young people. It's the ALLTRU way. So, thank you to the Buccs for far more than just a fun event. If you'd like to contribute to the ALLTRU mission, please don't hesitate to reach out.
