49 states down. 1 to go. 🇺🇸🇩🇰 The final episode premieres tomorrow. Over the past year and a half, we have explored the Danish footprint across the United States — from coast to coast, state by state. We have met the people behind the partnership: communities with deep Danish roots stretching back generations; business leaders, researchers, and innovators, Governors & members of Congress, honorary consuls; and many others whose stories reflect how Denmark and Danes have made an impact across the United States. Together, they tell a powerful story: the relationship between Denmark and the United States is not confined to Washington, D.C. — it is alive in every single state. And what a story it is. This project would not have been possible without the many contributors across the United States — our honorary consuls, colleagues at our general consulates, and the many partners and individuals who have so generously shared their stories along the way. And then there is one person I simply have to highlight. Saleem Anwar Jahangir has been the heart and engine behind this entire series. Over the past two years, he has worked tirelessly — days, evenings, and weekends — reaching out, collecting stories, coordinating across states, and shaping each of these 50 videos. Thanks to his extraordinary efforts, the series has featured U.S. Governors such as Wes Moore and Janet Mills, prominent members of Congress like Blake Moore, leading CEOs from both Denmark and the United States, and even remarkable personal stories like Danish-Greenlandic dog runner Mille Porsild in Alaska — including unforgettable footage of her dogs running across the glaciers. It has been a massive effort, carried with energy, persistence, and commitment from start to finish. Thank you, Saleem — this achievement carries your signature.
