Last night was a proud and emotional moment. Dr. Lorraine Mora Perez, an incredible educator, trusted colleague, dear friend, and my Deputy Superintendent, had her Superintendent contract officially approved and will be the next leader of Santa Ana Unified School District. Over the past four years, through some of the toughest moments, I’ve leaned on Lorraine for perspective, reflection, and strength. Her leadership, insight, and steady presence have deeply shaped my own journey, especially as I near the end of my career. I’m beyond proud of her and excited for what’s ahead.
