I am truly honored to share that I have been appointed the new General Manager for Novo Nordisk in Italy. It’s only been a year since I returned to the International Operations Strategic Office, and although it feels early to move on, I’m incredibly proud of what the team has achieved in such a short time: production optimization that enabled 33 new launches of Wegovy and a reinvention of our launch process; the creation of new Commercial and Sales Execution Excellence departments delivering truly impactful affiliate visits; and stronger HCP and patient insights that shaped new strategies for our brands and devices. These are just a few highlights from countless accomplishments we delivered together. I have so many people to thank for this new opportunity. To my management team: Yannick Van Ballaer, Pascal Mutschler, Domenico Zirpoli, Adam Jones, Rishang Deoras, Aleksej Gabedov you have worked unbelievably hard this past year, often under challenging circumstances. Your resilience, dedication, and drive have been nothing short of inspiring. To my peers: Daniel Vega Møller, Iria Gala, petra orsy, Conny Marquardt Zydowitz, Iker C., Clemens Czech, Joyce Khouri thank you for always challenging me—your collaboration made our decisions better and me stronger. And not least to my manager Yan Cai MD, PhD and head of Europe and IO Emil Kongshøj Larsen, thank you for your guidance, motivation, and and least trust in me. I am also truly grateful to Alfredo Galletti the former GM and to my future management team in Italy for such a warm welcome yesterday. I’m confident that together we can transform care for people living with obesity, diabetes, and rare diseases—areas where Novo Nordisk not only leads, but where people living with these conditions can count on us to work tirelessly to make a meaningful difference. Yesterday morning, I stepped into the elevator and saw the message on the doors: “Is today one day or day one? You decide.” What a reminder to receive on my first day after the announcement. For me, this moment is very much day one—a new beginning full of purpose, responsibility, and ambition. Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey. #novonordisk #italy #drivingchange #obesity #diabetes #rarediseases
