GTM Strategy & Operations @ LinkedIn | Ex-Google, Ex-Consulting | Writer

I’ve been relishing the prospect of saying this here: I just started a new role at LinkedIn! Self-referential fun aside, I’m overjoyed to join a company whose culture I’ve admired for years. I’m grateful to have the opportunity to be part of an amazing team & build a new sales motion to help high potential customers grow their businesses with LinkedIn. I’m also grateful I was able to take enough time away from tech to fulfill a lifelong dream of writing a novel… and to get to the point where I genuinely missed solving tangible business problems, missed being part of team, and in short, missed a part of who I am. My creative sabbatical allowed me to feel (not just know) that GTM work is neither my whole identity nor merely a job—it’s authentic to who I am just as being a writer, friend, daughter, dog mom, and partner is. Making space for one passion reaffirmed another. As my friend & leadership coach Jessica Wan, champion of multi-passionate careers, might say: it’s not an either / or—it’s an ampersand. So, 7 days into #LinkedInLife, I’m swimming in newbie questions with lakes of unknowns ahead, but there’s one thing I’m certain about: the people. I’ve already met so many smart, curious & kind colleagues during the interview process & my first week, reconnected with amazing folks I’m so happy to call my teammates & leaders again, and can’t wait to meet everyone else & build this new thing together! Time to end this post & kick off Day 8!
