‘If you’re not happy at work, you’re unlikely to be happy in life’. (Tom Rath) This quote has always been my 'why.' Not only in my role as a career coach but also in my role within Talent Acquisition. It is one of the reasons why, after all these years, I still enjoy working in recruitment so much. Because we meet people at a defining moment in their lives. Because, as a future employer, we can make a difference. And I’m not just talking about our company culture, our values, interesting job content or projects, or an attractive compensation package—I'm mainly referring to the people. I know this might sound a bit fluffy, I realize that. And yet. I know that all the recruiters in my team share this passion. They have a drive to make an impact and to turn a recruitment process into more than just a few necessary steps toward an interview or a contract. With great commitment and each with their own personality. That’s why I want to give them a special shout-out today. Thank you for making the best of this year, even in sometimes difficult and challenging circumstances. Always with dedication and engagement. That’s what makes me come to work every day with pleasure and experience my 'why' daily. Really looking forward to diving into 2026 again, but first… holidays!
