Working to foster a dynamic business environment in Findlay and Hancock County, Ohio.

Summer travel is in full swing, and this week’s episode of Chamber Amplified takes a closer look at what tourism means for Ohio’s economy. I spoke with Matthew L. MacLaren, Esq., Director of Travel and Tourism Policy for the Ohio Chamber of Commerce, about Ohio’s tourism industry, the proposed Heart of It All Pass, and how visitor spending supports local businesses and communities. We talk about some of Ohio’s major attractions, but also smaller local destinations like restaurants, museums, parks, youth sports venues, and community events that help bring people into communities across the state. Thinking about tourism as an economic driver for communities of all sizes is really interesting, and in some areas (big and small) it's the absolute lifeblood of their economy. You can listen to the full episode of Chamber Amplified wherever you get your podcasts, or watch the interview on our YouTube channel!
