Happy Father’s Day to every man who shows up, for his family, his community, and often, quietly, for everyone but himself. 🎉 Today we celebrate fathers, brothers, and the men who carry so much without saying much. But in the middle of this celebration, there’s a question we can’t ignore: “Statistics show that women are more likely to be diagnosed with non-communicable diseases (NCDs) and yet more men are dying from them. Why?” Maybe it’s because men wait longer to get checked. Maybe it’s the quiet pressure to “be strong” and push through pain instead of naming it physically or mentally. Maybe our health systems still aren’t reaching men early enough, or in ways that feel like they’re for them. Jenga wellness through #mwanaumebingwa we believe mental wellness has to be treated as part of the NCD conversation, not separate from it. Silence is not strength. Delay is not discipline. And checking in on your health , physically and mentally is one of the most important things a man can do for the people who love him. So to every father reading this: get checked. Talk to someone. Don’t wait until it’s too late. Your family doesn’t just want your presence , they want you healthy and around for a long time. Happy Father’s Day. We see you. We need you. We want you well. 💚 #MenAndNCDs #FathersDay #MentalHealthIsAnNCD #mwanaumebingwa
