Downtown Las Vegas is on the cover of the Las Vegas Weekly ✨ There are always rumblings that earned media and traditional PR aren’t as valuable as they once were but this moment proves otherwise. There’s a level of validity and trust that can’t be bought or influenced and that comes from genuine storytelling through traditional media. The young PR girl in me is absolutely thrilled to see downtown gracing the cover and multiple stories inside this issue. Working on the redevelopment of downtown Las Vegas has been one of the coolest and most rewarding parts of my job. When I started at the City of Las Vegas in 2013, redevelopment was already underway but I still remember when Main Street was just a regular road lined with antique shops and a few bars. Now, it’s the vibrant Arts District we know today. From Fremont East to Symphony Park to the new Civic Center, watching these spaces evolve (and helping tell their stories) has been a career highlight. Muck Rack data to further support the value of earned media: More than 95% of AI snippets and answers come from unpaid media sources and 85% of those come from earned media. 50% of total AI responses included at least one earned media citation. This data shows the power earned media strategies have in GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) and AIO (Artificial Intelligence Optimization). A huge shoutout to our internal team across multiple departments, especially Jace Radke (who isn’t on LinkedIn), Laura Aguiar Machado, Tracy Reich and our agency partners at Braintrust Agency including Shayna M. and Tiffany Wong for making these stories happen. It’s moments like these that remind me why I fell in love with this work. 💫 Links: Symphony Park https://lnkd.in/gDp-ZirJ   Fremont East https://lnkd.in/gyTqbj3h   DTLV https://lnkd.in/gXf8pHBh Civic Center https://lnkd.in/g5Es5UqH
