From emergency food relief in Newcastle and Tennant Creek, to critical dental care for young people in Western Sydney, and job-readiness training in Mount Isa, we’re so proud to fund initiatives that will help bring change to First Nations people in the communities where we operate. A total of $48,000 in grants will support five organisations across the traditional lands of the Wiradjuri, Awabakal, Worimi, Darug, Warumungu and Kalkadoon peoples. As part of our commitment to Reconciliation, we're pleased to back organisations that are making a real difference on the ground every day. "One of the things that sets us apart is our connection to the communities where we work. These grants are a small but important way we can help create opportunities and stronger outcomes for First Nations people,” Tania Coltman, General Manager Corporate Affairs. Since 2019, Jemena's Community Grants Program has provided almost $1m to organisations delivering positive social outcomes in the communities where we operate. Congratulations to Em-power Foundation, Gari Yala, Mobileyes Dental Foundation, FoodBankSA and Martyr Training Services. Supporting community-led solutions is part of who we are as an organisation and reflects our commitment to creating lasting value beyond the essential services we provide.
