At Jemena, building a sustainable energy future isn’t just about infrastructure or the energy transition - it’s about creating a workplace where people feel supported through every stage of life. This is why we continue to evolve our leave options to reflect the diverse experiences of our people, from enhanced parental leave benefits and universal reproductive health leave, to the upcoming introduction of gender-affirming care leave. As Employee Experience Manager Claire March explained: “Our approach to leave has intentionally shifted from individual policies to a more holistic framework that recognises that life doesn’t follow a single path.” In 2025, 126 employees across our Group took parental leave, including 102 men taking primary carer leave - a positive sign that people feel supported to use the options available to them. Because when people feel supported at work, everyone benefits.
