Today in Food History: February 4 1902 Charles Augustus Lindbergh, aka “Lucky Lindy,” American aviator, born. Most famous for making the first solo non-stop air crossing of the Atlantic, all he brought with him for food on that historic 33.5 hour flight was five sandwiches. Quipped he, “If I get to Paris, I won't need any more. And if I don't get to Paris, I won't need any more, either.” #travel #food #adventure
