GTM Credit Union Leader | CU2.0 Partner working with Credit Unions | Driving Non-Interest Income Through Member Benefits Retention Platform built for Credit Unions - “Discipline Equals Freedom.”
When a board unanimously selects their next CEO from within — that is not just a promotion. That is a vote of confidence in everything that person has already built. Congratulations to Ralph A. Ramirez on being named President and CEO of Silver State Schools Credit Union, effective August 3, 2026. Ralph joined SSSCU in 2023. In three years he strengthened leadership, improved operational performance, expanded direct lending, increased non-interest income, and advanced strategic partnerships with Clark County School District and the University of Nevada Las Vegas Alumni Association. Three years. Every major lever moved in the right direction. It is no surprise the board did not need to look anywhere else. With 34 years of financial services experience — including executive roles at USC Credit Union, F&A Credit Union, and Arrowhead Credit Union — Ralph brings the kind of depth that does not need to prove itself. It just shows up in results. Mitch Fox, Chairman of the Board, said it directly: "Throughout his tenure, Ralph has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to our members, employees, and the communities we serve." Members. Employees. Community. In that order. That is the credit union leadership framework at its best. I had the pleasure of connecting with the Silver State Schools Credit Union team at the ECUC conference earlier this year — and that conversation made this announcement even more meaningful to see. The commitment to their members and communities was clear from the moment we started talking. Ralph — congratulations on a well-deserved appointment. I am genuinely looking forward to the opportunity to partner with you and the SSSCU team as you step into this role. The members and communities of Nevada are in great hands. And a well-deserved tribute to outgoing President and CEO Scott Arkills, CCE — more than a decade of dedicated leadership, integrity, and a legacy that made this transition possible. Enjoy retirement, Scott. It was earned. What do you think matters most in a new CEO's first 90 days at a credit union? #CreditUnions #CreditUnionLeadership #CEO #SilverStateSchoolsCU #MemberExperience #PeopleHelpingPeople #ECUC
