Abbaye de Cluny / Cluny Abbey Visite de @abbayedecluny. L’abbatiale, dont il ne reste que quelques maigres portions, fut la plus grande construction religieuse d’occident pendant 3 siècles, avec 187 m de long. L’abbaye a connu un long déclin et le coup de grâce est arrivé après la révolution avec la destruction presque complète. Quelques vestiges donnent malgré tout l’idée de la grandeur de cette réalisation et la férocité de sa destruction. Deux aspects de l’âme humaine, capable du meilleur et du pire… Visit of the Cluny abbey. The church, of which only a few portions remain, was the largest religious Western building for 3 centuries, with 613 feet long. The abbey experienced a long decline and the coup de grace came after French revolution with almost complete destruction. Some remains nevertheless give the idea of the greatness of this achievement and the ferocity of its destruction.
