SWE Intern @ Disney | CS Junior @ UW

Sooooo I accepted an offer... πŸ‘€ I'm very excited to share that I will be joining The Walt Disney Company this summer as a software engineering intern on the Commerce, Data & Identity team in Seattle! πŸŽ‰ After graduating high school with my associates degree this past summer, I started university with this odd sensation of feeling ahead of most people my age but behind of the juniors at my level that had previous years to attain internships/experience. Now I am learning to give myself grace and appreciate the grind needed to jumpstart my early career. Not only is this offer a dream come true from a true Disney fanatic but it couldn't have been more of a reminder of hard work and passion being rewarded. πŸ’– While interviewing, I learned that this team is mainly full stack and works on all kinds of platforms. I am especially excited to dive into iOS/app development and improve my knowledge of Swift! Ironically during my initial internship search, I was disappointed in the small amount of app dev focused internships so I really couldn't be happier to learn from such an interesting team with very impressive engineers! πŸ“± I want to give a big thank you to my recruiter Amy Sanchez that made my offer call so exciting as well as her support in this application process. I also wanted to thank my interviewer Tim Brooks and my recruitment coordinator Jamyelle Tanksley for their time and consideration! 🫢 I'm looking forward to an engaging summer where in true Disney fashion I can Make the Magic Happen! β˜€οΈ πŸ‘©β€πŸ’» #Disney #DisneyInterns #SoftwareEngineerIntern #ComputerScience #WomenInTech #Summer2026 #TechInternship
