This is what true intellectual and moral leadership looks like. Pope Leo just released the encyclical that will probably define his legacy. “Magnifica humanitas” comprehensibly reviews the threats to humanity and Christian values today, and offers a coherent perspective on each of them. He provides the kind of moral and intellectual leadership we sorely need, but that is missing from the discourse of almost all would-be leaders, including almost all politicians. And certainly, from almost all business leaders, especially in Silicon Valley! You’ll find you don’t need to be Catholic to agree with most of what he has to say—and to find it a breath of oxygen, after the toxicity of what passes for debate in the tech world, social media, and partisan politics. Read this summary, the lead article in the official publication, Vatican News. It’s longish—because it offers so much substance! https://lnkd.in/dV3pRKM2
