BSc in Microbiology at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona🦠 | Amgen Scholar 2025 at Institut Pasteur
Now that I've had some time to take it all in, I’m excited to share that one week ago I successfully defended my Final Degree Project (TFG) and officially graduated in Microbiology from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona! 🎓✨ My TFG focused on antimicrobial resistance and the importance of making science accessible to society. Through a Service-Learning (ApS) science communication project, I designed educational workshops for secondary schools, an interactive exhibition proposal for CosmoCaixa Barcelona and outreach activities for public spaces to promote the responsible use of antibiotics and raise awareness of the One Health approach. It has been an incredibly rewarding experience that allowed me to combine microbiology, education and scientific outreach while working on a topic with real social impact. Although this marks the end of the project as my Bachelor's thesis, it is only the beginning of my commitment to further developing it and sharing this idea with as many people as possible. 🧫💊🌍 Graduation marks the end of an unforgettable chapter. I feel especially honoured to have delivered the graduation speech as one of the representatives of the Microbiology graduating class, and to finish this journey while serving as President of the Biosciences Student Council, an experience that has shaped me far beyond the classroom. 🤍 I’m deeply grateful to my supervisor, professors, classmates, friends and family for their support throughout these years. I cannot thank them enough for their guidance, encouragement and unwavering support. I’m proud of what I’ve learned along the way and excited for what comes next. Ready to keep learning, growing and contributing to science! 🔬🦠 #Microbiology #ScienceCommunication #ServiceLearning #AntimicrobialResistance #OneHealth #Graduation
