I began my role as a Welcome Ambassador at UCL on Monday. It’s been fantastic meeting and helping so many people who are beginning a new chapter in their educational journey. I remember first arriving at UCL in 2023. I also remember how daunting it was. Thankfully, the Welcome Ambassadors at the time were extremely helpful and aided me in settling in very quickly. It may seem like a small role, but it makes a big difference for so many people. Additionally, it has allowed me to reflect on my future career as a doctor; being a welcoming, supportive figure goes a long way for a lot of people. I look forward to the rest of my time working as a Welcome Ambassador!
