A goodbye that’s a little overdue ✨ After two incredible years, it’s time to officially say goodbye to the Sun Peaks Grand Hotel & Resort. The timing took a back seat to the holiday season and a cross-country journey from BC to Ontario, but that pause came with something truly special. Spending the holidays at home with my family and friends for the first time in five years. For that alone, I’m incredibly grateful and do not take it for granted. My time at Sun Peaks Grand was filled with growth, challenge, and unforgettable moments. I had the privilege of working alongside an outstanding Front Office team lead by the amazing Stefan Lang, M.B.A. It was an incredible opportunity to build meaningful relationships and achieve milestones. I’m deeply proud of welcoming over 500 bus tours, hosting numerous ski teams, supporting daily organized events and activities, and engaging with a vast number of guests each day who truly made the work special. I’m especially proud of growing our department from 10 to 20 team members while continually expanding and elevating the guest experience. Being part of the BCHA Hotel of the Year finalist team in 2024 was a major highlight, as was expanding my knowledge and involvement in green initiatives within a resort environment As I step into 2026, I’m embracing a new chapter of travel and pushing myself into something I never had the luxury of doing...travelling outside my continent and spending some time with my partners family and experiencing where she comes from. Over the next five months, I’ll be traveling to several incredible destinations, expanding my global understanding of hospitality, culture, and leadership. I look forward to bringing everything I’ve learned from my travels and from the last five years of management experience into future opportunities and teams. To everyone at Sun Peaks Grand: thank you for the trust, the collaboration, and the memories. This chapter will always be a meaningful part of my journey. Onward to the next adventure 🚀
