Where water was once scarce, hope and self-reliance now grow. π Uganda's semi-arid Karamoja region has struggled with chronic water shortages that severely hindered food production. To address this challenge, the Japanese NGO Terra Renaissance launched irrigation support in 2023. Today, this initiative has grown beyond food security into a source of income through crop sales. The journey toward self-reliance continues. In 2025, the project introduced fish farming in agricultural reservoirs, with plans to further strengthen local cooperative activities throughout 2026. The income generated fosters savings and basic education, further solidifying the foundation for independence. Japan's sustainable empowerment efforts continue to bring smiles to communities worldwide. π±
