🎉Happy 15th Birthday #UNGPs Fifteen years ago, a framework was introduced that fundamentally changed how we think about business responsibility in terms of Human Rights. What makes the UNGPs so powerful is their simplicity: They give states, companies, and civil society a shared language to identify, prevent, and address human rights risks. They were never designed as law - yet today, they inspire regulation across the globe, from multiple #ModernSlaveryActs, the #SCDDA, to the upcoming #CSDDD. For me personally, the UNGPs have been a constant companion: from my early academic work on ethical business practices and humanitarian logistics to my current role at Bayer. And they remain a compass, especially in times of increasing tension and fragmentation. And perhaps this is their greatest strength: 👉 They are not “for some.” 👉 They are for everyone.
