New year, new me — I’m excited to announce I’ve started a new chapter this year as a Policy and Program Manager at TikTok Shop within the Content and Creator Governance team! I’m so excited to build, learn, and grow within TikTok, a company whose products I am an avid user of in my spare time. For this role, I’ve also moved from San Francisco to Seattle. While opening a new one, I’ve also closed an important chapter — my chapter at Hive. I’m incredibly grateful for how much I learned, how much ownership I was trusted with, and the opportunities I was given to create real impact by building AI products that make the world better. Working in the AI industry fresh out of college is an opportunity I don’t take for granted. I walk away from Hive knowing that I stayed proactive, hungry, and challenged myself to learn as much as possible and grow fast. I learned what it’s like to build AI in practice instead of using it conceptually, and had the opportunity to own and lead massive, complex data labeling projects, both across internal and external stakeholders, and across diverse product offerings like content moderation, IP protection, deepfake detection and sponsorship intelligence. Thank you Hive for everything you’ve taught me — I’m really excited for this new chapter at TikTok!
