Super excited this Thursday to share a 20 year vertical of @chateaulynchbages - a Pauillac 1855 5th Growth that always punches above its weight (named a 2nd Growth in my own 1855 ranking for the Inside Bordeaux book). A recent @sothebyswine auction in London was a sell-out, with all 342 lots selling out, raising US$1.16 million, way ahead of the pre-sale high estimate of US$900,000.  The tasting covers the years 2000 through to 2020, including a totally storming, must-not-miss vintage that is not one you might expect, and offers brilliant value. Particularly happy to be tasting these wines right now as I am currently translating @jmcazes autobiography, which is full of fascinating stories of 20th and 21st century Bordeaux. Jean-Michel's professional life started out with @IBM as the first personal computers were coming to market, before he moved back to Bordeaux in July 1973, just before the economic crisis hit. So many amazing stories. The French version with @glenatlivres will be out this month, while the English version with @academieduvinlibrarywill follow later this year.
