✨TOP16✨ Between March 16-22, I experienced one of the most exciting adventures of my life, participating as a pleader in the 23rd Willem C. Vis East International Commercial Arbitration Moot. Together with Jadwiga Przybylska, we achieved a huge success by advancing to the Round of 16. We started the competition with four pleadings in the general rounds against Ji Nan University, Universitas Diponegoro, PUC-SP Arbitration Team and Lloyd School of Law. During these, we earned enough points to place among the top 32 teams that advanced to the knockout stage. In the Round of 32, we defeated Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University, becoming the first team from the University of Warsaw to win a match in the knockout phase. Our journey ended in the Round of 16, where the team Team DSNLU - Vis (East) Moot proved stronger. As a result, we ranked among the top 16 teams out of more than 160 teams from around the world. On this occasion, I would like to sincerely thank everyone without whom this success - and above all, the tremendous personal growth - would not have been possible. Professor Marcin Dziurda for the trust and continuous support of the Team. Jadwiga Przybylska for the countless pleadings together and for helping me overcome weaknesses. Jan Ciaptacz, Filip Olszówka and Pola Rzepczyńska for the long hours of training and coming up with arguments at all times of day and night. Jan Dziurzyński for convincing me to take part in Vis Moot. Professor Piotr Rylski for understanding regarding my lack of attendance in classes and delays in my master’s thesis 😉
