Next to Chuck Jones, I think one of my all-time favorite directors during the golden age of Warner Brothers Animation was Frank Tashlin. While he didn’t make as many cartoons as his colleagues, his shorts had the biggest impact on me. From his dynamic camera compositions, his quick and snappy timing, and emphasis on extremely drastic poses stood out from the rest. Whether you are into his early rounded phase or his more angular phase, Frank Tashlin was one of the best, and in my opinion, one of the most underrated.
