Reflecting upon the 2025/2026 football and academic year, I’m proud to have achieved both my UEFA B Licence and Fellowship (FHEA) 🎉 Balancing professional development alongside work commitments can be challenging, but it’s incredibly rewarding to see how these experiences have shaped my practice as both a coach and an educator. I am especially grateful to Dave Morris and Bobby Paterson for their mentorship throughout the UEFA B Licence, continually challenging me and supporting my development. I’d also like to thank Kate Donnan, PhD and the players at Harrogate Town AFC Women, where I’ve had the opportunity to develop my coaching craft and continue doing what I’m passionate about. Learning doesn’t stop with football and coaching, but I’m delighted to have reached this milestone in my career ⚽️ I’m equally proud to have achieved my FHEA and would like to thank Lois Smith, Ben Oliver, and Catherine Lillie for their guidance and the important role they each played in my development as a lecturer 👨‍🏫. This qualification nicely concludes my maternity cover position at the University of Hull, as I now look forward to an exciting new teaching role in the next academic year 🎉 #professionaldevelopment #coaching #lecturing
