Construction progress at Origin’s “One Sukhumvit 59 “ Hotel site . At the corner of Sukhumvit and Sukhumvit Soi 59 . 241 rooms I think it will be operated under the Intercontinental brand . Ananda's 445 unit "Ascott Thonglor " serviced apartment that will offer daily rates is on the opposite corner . The 394 room " Jen Bangkok " hotel will be built by Shangri-La just around the corner on Suhumvit Soi 57 and 55 . The 324 room Hotel Verve Bangkok which will be rebranded as "Hotel JAL City Bangkok" and reopened as an Okura Nikko Hotel Management property is scheduled for completion later this year down the road on Soi Thonglor . That's a lot of new supply in one location . Tourism will recover after Covid 19 but there is still a lot of new hotel supplydue to be completed in Bangkok over the next few years . I'm not sure that demand will match supply - we'll have to see .
