A 47m research crane at Daintree Rainforest Observatory - James Cook University is doing more than science, it’s become home to a loyal pair of ospreys. Each year they return to nest at the crane’s tip, even as it moves. Now, with a webcam capturing their daily life from hunting to raising chicks people around the world can watch in real time. It’s a unique glimpse into wildlife behaviour without disturbance, and a reminder of how special the Daintree is - where world-class research meets nature in powerful ways.
