OK, I'm out. After seeing 99+ posts about it (this week only!), I'm done with the debates: ▪️ GEO is SEO ▪️ GEO is not SEO! ▪️ AEO, GEO, and SEO are different things It's f-king pointless. A waste of air and brain power. And it's usually led by people who have little to do with actually optimizing for any kind of search results. Some things overlap. Some are specific. I don't know a single person doing search who isn't already optimizing for LLMs. Nobody serious is doing "plain SEO" anymore. These debates only live here, on LinkedIn. The people doing the real work, for their companies or their clients, just do it. This is also why Surfer doesn't sell SEO. We don't sell GEO. We sell results. So you can be the answer everywhere your buyers search. That's what we focus on. We are optimizing for organic results. We are also measuring your AI Visibility and optimizing for retrieval. Entities and NLP terms? We've been doing that for years. So no, I won't argue about whether SEO is GEO. I'll focus on research, data, and delivering results 🏄♂️
