Proud to share a milestone for our cardiac surgery program at University Hospital Olomouc. I successfully performed the first robotically assisted MICS CABG procedure at our institution. By combining robotic LIMA harvesting with minimally invasive direct coronary artery bypass surgery through a left mini-thoracotomy, we continue to expand less invasive treatment options for patients with coronary artery disease. This achievement would not have been possible without the dedication and teamwork of the entire operating room staff, anesthesiology team, perfusionists, nurses, and colleagues involved in patient care.
