Ut tensio sic vis
Happy international women's day. That being said, this is not strictly a "women's day" memoranda. Chemist and an X-ray crystallographer Rosalind Frankli—beyond representing the eclipsed female experts in their respective fields—signifies those who have been deprived of their rightful recognition throughout history. The images of DNA molecules captured and processed by her—shared (to the best of my knowledge) without her consent—were the key to identifying the double helical structure of DNA. As a momentary yet relevant detour, this opportunity will be seized to remember an absolute unit of a scientist—Maria Salomea Skłodowska aka Marie Curie. Image by Vittorio Luzzati
