“I feel like I’m sculpting the future of mobility. I don’t see my future not involving electrification.” Meet Joseph Norbury, Systems Requirements Engineer in our Energy Storage team – helping turn our #electrification strategy into real‑world delivery. Joe works at the heart of our battery systems, defining how energy is stored, managed and delivered to power our upcoming luxury #electricvehicles. “I work on the energy storage – how do we get energy in? How do we get energy out?” From fast DC charging and temperature management to durability, manufacturing and serviceability, Joe translates complex needs into clear system requirements that guide how our cars are engineered, tested and validated. His role connects multiple subsystems – from battery management and cells to high‑voltage distribution – ensuring nothing is missed as electrified platforms become more complex. “We manage the system specification which drives all the way down to component level, so we make sure we have the functionality that our clients expect from our luxury vehicles.” A former #JLR apprentice who returned with deep systems engineering experience, Joe thrives on collaboration across disciplines – from #engineering and #sustainability to regulation and compliance. “You start speaking to sustainability teams, legal teams, battery passport teams – and you realise there are links you never thought existed.” And when it comes to quality, the principle is clear. “Development and testing are where we learn, refine and improve, so our clients benefit from a reliable, high-quality product that performs exactly as expected.” It’s engineers like Joe – connecting technology, people and purpose – who are helping power JLR’s transition to an electrified, sustainable future. https://lnkd.in/e58WvCqu #Reimagine #EnergyStorage
