As part of my communications internship with the University of Arkansas Fay Jones School of Architecture and Design, I had the opportunity to interview and write a feature story on architecture student Joseph Hill. Joseph earned the Student Award in the Buildner MICROHOME Competition for his project, the Amphibious Living Unit — Mekong Prototype, a design that rethinks sustainable, community-centered housing in flood-prone environments. This piece challenged me to translate complex architectural ideas into a clear, engaging story while capturing Joseph’s voice and perspective.
