Kraft Heinz combined the functions of "Procurement" and "Supply Chain". This article on SupplyChainDive https://lnkd.in/eZRha-xf provides the following statement from the Kraft Heinz CEO. "... combining Procurement and Supply Chain into one central function allows us to more effectively manage our end-to-end value chain and strengthen supply chain resilience.” I have been advocating a much closer alignment between the Supply Chain and Procurement functions because all too often Procurement is driven by incentives that are counter-productive from a Supply Chain goals perspective. I am curious about more information why Kraft Heinz made this decision. Also curious how this decision turns out to work in practice.
