I recently had the chance to take part in the IDEA League Summer School "Closing the Loop – (Re-)Design for Disassembly & Circular Economy", held at the SII-Lab, Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg. It was a great learning experience focused on circular economy, sustainable product design and disassembly processes. We had the chance to work hands-on with drone assembly and disassembly, and to explore real-world applications of digital twins and automated systems. We also attended inspiring lectures from experts across Europe, including: Björn Johansson and Mélanie Despeisse (Chalmers University) Sven Ekered (Chalmers) – Drone Assembly Simon Heyes (Rockwell) – Digital Twin Bas Flipsen and Stefan Persaud (TU Delft) – Disassembly strategies Adalberto Polenghi (Politecnico di Milano) – Maintenance and CE Amon Göppert & Caroline (RWTH Aachen) – Automated disassembly and remanufacturing Catharina Benning (ETH Zurich) – Future challenges in CE Beyond the technical part, it was a fantastic opportunity to connect and collaborate with students and professionals from different backgrounds, sharing ideas and working together on projects. Thanks to IDEA League and Chalmers University for this opportunity! Grateful to have shared this journey with a fantastic group of peers: Chiara Corti, Luca Rosaspina, Zanhai H., Hamidreza Saberi, Kezia Jane Rivan, Marc-André Weismüller, Nanthesh S J, Rakesh Sivanadan, Dimitar B., Felix Curvers, Isabelle Heiliger, Jonathan Wicke, Anabella Tzatzanas, Mariia Deinega, Victoria Jung, Hasanka Maduwantha, wenquan zhang
