Eight years of technology strategies and digital transformations at Ørsted, and what we built together far exceeded what we could have planned. My time at Ørsted recently ended and now it is time to seek the next adventure. I joined Ørsted during industry growth and digital rise. Investments allowed us to establish data, cloud and AI platforms and change the fundamental ways of operating based on automation and self-service offerings. What a ride it has been. In recent years, the industry has been under pressure and focus has naturally shifted towards cost out and rightsizing. A revised agenda and reorganisations have made this a natural time for me to also look outwards. Looking back, what I'm most proud of is what we accomplished with the Architecture & Technology community. ATC was not a committee nor a basic newsletter. It was a space for collaboration, inner sourcing and knowledge sharing that consistently raised the performance across architecture, data and engineering people truly wanted to be part of. 800+ engineers and architects across multiple nationalities, working across Denmark, Poland and Malaysia, have produced ingenuity and solutions we could not have reached working in silos. Together, we made it our own. Thank you to every colleague across those eight years. The ownership embraced, the humour shared, the willingness to challenge and support each other, and help move the organisation forward. I was lucky to shape, work within and be around it. 🙏 The past weeks have been filled with quality time. Proper time with my boys, long runs listening to tech podcasts, and I've been building and prompting agentic AI systems in a way my role would rarely leave room for. Getting hands-on at the building level is a different kind of thinking, and it’s fun to spend time on it. Now I'm ready for what comes next. Ideally, a senior leadership role in technology, leading digital transformations where architecture, engineering, AI etc. are central. The complex, cross-functional kind, where strategy and culture evolve side by side.
