One of the most interesting discussions I have been part of recently focused on a challenge that many regions across Europe are facing: How do we not only attract international talent, but also create the structures, networks and support systems that help people stay, integrate and build their future locally? What I particularly appreciated about this initiative was the broad range of stakeholders involved – from employers, municipalities and universities to integration services and labour market institutions. Sustainable solutions for skills shortages and workforce development require collaboration across sectors. No single organisation can solve these challenges alone. It will be exciting to see how the ideas and partnerships developed through Global Connect continue to evolve in the coming months.
