The Pathfinder Sitoyo Lopokoiyit C.B.S brought intentional leadership to life through his journey, a powerful reminder that leadership is forged in everyday moments. He did not start in a boardroom. His path moved through entrepreneurship and multiple industries, grounded in my summarized version of show up, do what needs to be done extremely well, and let excellence create its own momentum. He captured well the importance of taking time to truly understand people, problems and systems before rushing to solutions. In a world that rewards speed, he challenged us to slow down at the start, listen deeply, test what customers really need and build it for them. He reminded us that social capital is s a core strategic asset, built deliberately and early. Relationships and trust are not just nice to have, they are part of the strategy. Networks are built early and authentically, by being simple, human and dependable in how we treat our friends, our teams, colleagues and peers. Don’t just look for people when you only need them. And finally, leadership is about creating spaces where people can think, experiment and thrive. Leadership is not only seen in the decisions we make, but in the conditions we create for others to grow. It is in how we respond when things do not go as planned, how we encourage learning, and how we turn setbacks into insight. A strong culture is built when people are trusted to try, supported to improve, and inspired to keep becoming better. That’s the kind of leadership we walked away wanting to champion, ambitious about impact, grounded in simplicity, and deeply human in how we grow our people and the systems they serve.
