There’s a point on a multi-day hike where things start to shift. People stop focusing only on themselves. Someone waits at the next crossing without being asked. Snacks get shared around camp. Conversations that started on the trail continue late into the evening by the fire. We saw that happen last week on Rügen. More than 60 people joined us for five days of hiking, camping, long kilometers, campfires, cold mornings, sore legs, and a lot of time outside together. Some had years of hiking experience. Others had never done a multi-day hike before. But after a few days on the trail, that difference started to disappear. Out of strangers, one team started to form. The week was part of the Wolf Trail, a long-distance hiking route running nearly 3,500 kilometers from the Baltic Sea down to the Adriatic. But these events are not about hiking the entire route. They’re about creating ways for people to try long-distance hiking in a supported way and experience what life on the trail actually feels like. That’s what stayed with us most. Not just the distance, but the atmosphere that builds when people slow down, spend time outside together, and share the same experience step by step. Thanks to everyone who joined us on Rügen and made the week what it was. 📍 Next stop: Siegen on June 6th.
