The Wolf Trail has officially started, and last week we kicked it off on the Polish Baltic coast. The Wolf Trail is a route that runs from the Baltic Sea down to the Adriatic, crossing six countries over close to 3,500 kilometers. You can hike the whole thing or just take on parts of it, depending on how far you want to go.   That’s what this first stop was about. We had two ways to join: a multi-day hike and a basecamp in Łeba. Some spent five days on the trail, covering over 100 kilometers along the coast in wind and sand, getting a real feel for what multiple days out there demand. Others joined for a day at basecamp with workshops, talks, gear testing, and a lot of open conversations with people who are either just starting out or already deep into it. Different formats, but the same idea: bringing people together who are curious about going further.   What stood out most wasn’t just the distance, but the exchange. Questions, shared experiences, and the realization that something like long-distance hiking becomes a lot more approachable when you don’t have to figure it out alone.   Thanks to everyone who joined us for this first stop. Next up: Rügen in three weeks.
