The sweeping curves near the boss of the wheel were produced using a boring head, with the component indexed a quarter turn after each cut to ensure even spacing of the features. It was a slow and methodical process, but an effective one. As always, setting the correct speed for the boring head required some trial and error, particularly given the geometry of the part — relatively wide, thin, and only supported at the centre. Despite the challenges, the approach produced the desired result with consistency and control. šŸ‘‰ Watch the short video to see the machining process in detail and follow the project as it develops. #PrecisionEngineering #Machining #ManufacturingProcess #Clockmaking #EngineeringDesign
