The sweeping curves near the boss of the wheel were produced using a boring head, with the component indexed a quarter turn after each cut to ensure even spacing of the features. It was a slow and methodical process, but an effective one. As always, setting the correct speed for the boring head required some trial and error, particularly given the geometry of the part ā relatively wide, thin, and only supported at the centre. Despite the challenges, the approach produced the desired result with consistency and control. š Watch the short video to see the machining process in detail and follow the project as it develops. #PrecisionEngineering #Machining #ManufacturingProcess #Clockmaking #EngineeringDesign
