The Big Pilot's Watch Perpetual Calendar Ceralume® (Ref. IW505801) absorbs and stores light, re-emitting it after dark as a vivid blue glow. To craft this groundbreaking new material, IWC engineers designed a dedicated ball-milling process. Using impact and attrition, ceramic powders and Super-LumiNova® pigments with different particle sizes are broken down into a homogenous powder, for a flawless end result.
