At #ESHRE2026, IVI RMA specialists presented new research exploring two approaches to addressing ovarian aging. Anna Buigues, PhD, shared findings from research led by Sonia Herraiz Raya, PhD, on the potential role of stem cell-secreted growth factors in restoring ovarian function, while Cristina Rodríguez Varela, PhD, presented results from research led by Maria Jose Escribá, PhD, examining how nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMN) supplementation may support cellular energy metabolism, which was associated with an increase in the number of developmentally competent oocytes available for reproductive use in women of advanced reproductive age. Ovarian aging remains one of the most significant factors affecting female fertility, driving ongoing efforts to better understand the biological mechanisms that influence ovarian function and reproductive longevity. Together, these studies contribute to a broader scientific effort to understand ovarian aging at the molecular level and identify interventions that could help preserve ovarian health and inform future fertility treatments. #IVIRMAGlobal #OvarianAging #ReproductiveMedicine #IVF #Research #IVIRMAatESHRE
